Absolutely loved our stay at the lodge in the park. While the park didn't have the quantity of animals as other parks, we gave it 10/10 for our experiences with elephants and wonderful birdlife. NKosi was a great guide, very knowledgeable. The food was excellent and generous, the staff were lovely, smiling and helpful. The room (tented) with an outside shower, was clean and comfortable.

We stages 2 Nights at Tembe , Environment was quite nice . Tents were not really clean , toilet has a carpet and smelled like urin Food was not tasty People working at tembe were not very friendly . Would I go back: definitely not

park is pretty nice , drives on sandy roads and since lots of water also lots of bushes so the gamedrives showed lots of nialla , some zebras , impala buffalo giraph but we did niot any elephant , not sure the name is coming from anyway lodge was top , food was great and setting aldo much ok , very nice pool .. and very friendly service , gamedrivers so great experience but missing elephants.

Service was terrible . Hospitality non existent . Game drives very unprofessional . Total lack of interest from guide . Lack of animals was very disappointing . Guide did not try to find anything just drive around aimlessly .The hide near the lodge was the only thing worth visiting we drive ourselves there . Generally very under whelming. Tembe should update there adverts . Other than the new pool area everything else is passed its sell by date . After visiting many game parks and lodges throughout Eastern ,central, and Southern Africa this was definately the worst experience ever .

We have been to the Tembe Elephant Park previously but have never stayed at the Lodge situated within the Park. We were very impressed with the accommodation, meals and overall service provided by the lodge staff. The Game Drives (2 per day) were excellent and the Guide offered superior knowledge of the wildlife and bird-life that we encountered during our stay. Knowledge of the Parks history and environmental conditions were well explained. The tented accommodation was very comfortable and the outside shower was the absolute best. Considered to be very good value for money. Looking forward to a return trip very soon.

This camp has now been visited 5 times - but always for the same reasons. The location is great, the staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are very reasonable, and everything about it provides an African "bush" experience.
Although one can never be sure how successful the game-viewing may be, everything will be done to make it a memorable and informative experience. And it will be! Accommodation is first-rate with the safari-tents equipped for comfort but also a recognition that you are still in the "bush". Enjoy the wild-life, starry skies and the totally friendly environment! Totally recommended.

Very knowledgeable safari guide who was friendly, great sense of humour and made the trip more special ( thank you- Philemon ).
Would definitely return to Tembe and recommend it.
